Join the Historical Tea & Dance Society for an extraordinary afternoon of stories, live music, and English country dancing. Created as a welcoming, fully taught experience, this workshop is open to dancers of every skill level—from complete beginners to longtime dancers.
Jonathan Jensen is a beloved composer and musician whose tunes have inspired English country dances enjoyed around the world. For this special afternoon, he is joined by his equally extraordinary Trio con Brio colleagues, Elke Baker and Paul Oorts. All three are world-class musicians whose performances, recordings, arrangements, and compositions have provided the music for many of our favorite albums, tunes, and dances.

With dancing led by our own Los Angeles-based caller and friend, Renée Camus, you are in for a most delightful Sunday afternoon! Renée is known throughout Southern California and beyond for her clear, enthusiastic teaching and inventive choreography!

Over tea and scones, Jonathan will share stories from his remarkable musical life ... from orchestral adventures and musical parodies to unusual instruments and much more.
Come get to know the musician behind so many tunes that have inspired choreographers and delighted dancers across the country and around the world.

3:30-6:30 pm
Then take to the floor for nearly three hours of English country dancing to Jonathan’s wonderful tunes, performed live by Trio con Brio!
With dance leader Renée Camus!
Renée’s warm, clear, and accessible teaching will help everyone join the fun. Whether you are completely new to English country dance, developing your skills, or already an experienced dancer, you are warmly invited.
Come dance to beloved favorites, and perhaps a few that are new to you, and experience the magic of dancing to these exceptional musicians live.
