A “Middle Earth” fantasy-themed Moonlight Summer Ball!
Saturday, Sept. 26, 2026
Speak, friend, and enter...

Dearest Friends and Companions of the Dance,
The season calls us once again to gather in fellowship and joy! Beneath the whispering trees and starlit sky, let music weave its spell through the evening air, while tables are laden and laughter rings bright. With hearts light as hobbits and spirits high as elves, we shall join together, honoring the Shire we so dearly love and the timeless traditions of dancing revelry that bind us as one.

COSTUMES
_ed.png)

Though costumes are not required, at this event many folks dress whimsically in honor of the Middle Earth fantasy theme. Hobbits & elves & lords of the rings, Oh My!

We subscribe to the popular phrase:
Costumes admired
but never required.

Important Costume Note:
Please choose garments and shoes fit for dancing on hard-packed park ground. Please be certain you can move easily in your costume and do not wear anything that would impede you or others while dancing. Please avoid high heels, trains, wings, or anything else that drags or sticks out, as they impede dancing for all. High heels are not recommended for this style of dance; especially for outdoor dancing.

Friendship Dance Scholarship
Our community believes that dancing should be available for all.
If you would be served by a Friendship Dance Scholarship, please submit a Friendship Dance Scholarship request! There are many volunteer options
